I am greatly inspired by our cover photo this month. How could any one man be carrying so much weight on his shoulders and still be smiling, and look so heartily fulfilled?

Burdens are good, I suppose, if we are motivated by a solid purpose in life. Yes, I am saying purpose and not goals. Your goals in life could constantly change due to unforeseen circumstances but your purpose in life stays firm. For example, my retirement purpose is not to head off into seclusion but to be devoting my time to fight against poverty, and to influence the young for a better society. For that, achieving financial freedom for me and my family is fundamental, and substantial resources are needed to seed for my actions.

一生有意义

看到今朝的封面照片，不禁莞尔。一个人扛起如此重担，居然仍能笑容满面，乐以忘忧，散发出幸福和满足的感觉。

我想，担子是好的 - 只要我们的动力来自于一个有意义的人生。是的，我所谈的是生命的目的，而不是短暂的目标。我们的目标会随着环境而不断调整，但生存的目的和意义却是不容易动摇的。

以我为例，我退休的目的并不是要归隐田园，而是要善用余生扶助弱势抗御贫穷，为社会造就优秀的下一代。因此，为我和我的家人达到财政充裕是最基本的条件，这样才能拥有足够的资源来实现理想。

但愿大家都能活出有意义的人生。
